These dainty earrings showcase two authentic European jet crystals set with fanciful brass tassels. We find crystals fascinating in their contradictions. They are both dark and transparent. You can see through them, but not clearly. Crystal gazing was a popular pastime in the Victorian era. Victorians believed the crystal balls misted up from within before producing a vision. We named these earrings after the Countess of Blessington, the most well-known Victorian-era crystal gazer.
